Details
This revised direction required West Sussex County Council to continue taking steps to improve its children鈥檚 social care services.
This followed:
- an 8 May 2019 Ofsted report, which judged that the council鈥檚 children鈥檚 social care services were inadequate
- reports into children鈥檚 services in West Sussex by John Coughlan CBE
This direction was lifted following published on 11 May 2023.
This direction replaced the revised statutory direction issued to West Sussex County Council in December 2020.
